James 1:5 (WEB)
Going back after time away brings a strange mix of feelings. Maybe it's relief, guilt, nerves, or all three before you're out of the driveway. You wonder if you've lost your edge, or whether the people at home will be okay without you.
Deuteronomy 31:8 says the LORD "goes before you." He is already in the building, already in the meeting you're dreading, already with whoever is caring for your family today.
You don't have to be at full speed on day one. Colossians 3:23 invites you to do your work "heartily, as for the Lord"—not perfectly, not to prove anything. Psalm 90:17 is a good prayer for the parking lot: "Establish the work of our hands."
Give yourself a gentle first week. Ask questions. Take the lunch break. This is a new season, and God is good at new things.
